Financial Accountant (Qualified or Part Qualified) - Sligo - Permanent Responsibilities: Quarterly Management Accounts: Preparation of accurate and timely quarterly management accounts.
Statutory and Mandatory Accounts: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of statutory and mandatory financial statements.
Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Audit: Assist with the annual external audit process, liaising with auditors.
Cashflows: Develop and maintain cash flow projections to support effective financial planning.
Monitor and analyse cash flow trends, identifying areas for improvement.
Budgets and Projections: Collaborate with various departments to develop annual budgets and financial projections.
Monitor budget performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
Managing and Maintaining Stock: Oversee the management and maintenance of stock levels, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Implement controls to minimize stock discrepancies and losses.
VAT Returns: Prepare and submit timely and accurate VAT, Vies, Intrastat and RTD returns.
Stay updated on VAT regulations and advise on compliance matters.
SAGE Transition: assist with the transition to SAGE accounting software, ensuring a smooth integration.
Train and support team members on the use of SAGE for accounting functions.
Liaise with Revenue, Banks and Third Parties as required Requirements: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Ideally, 2-3 years of relevant industry experience.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Proficient in using accounting software, particularly SAGE.
