Job Title: Aftersales Manager
Company Overview:
REED is working with an international business based in South Kildare, specializing in distributing and supporting machinery and equipment.
The Irish business specializes in grounds machinery and irrigation.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Aftersales Manager to provide leadership, management, and coordination for all aftersales activity, including parts, training, retail servicing, and customer support functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing sales of parts and service within the territory, promoting and growing the market share of parts and service, and maintaining a high degree of customer service across aftersales operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Maintain ownership of customer problems and ensure prompt resolution.
* Serve as primary contact for all servicing enquiries, booking technician visits, and arranging collection of machinery for technical support.
* Manage and lead the mobile service team and internal technicians.
* Take daily control of diary activity to meet customer needs.
* Develop future retail parts and service strategy, growth, and service levels.
* Manage local inventory levels and purchasing activity to achieve first-class customer service and fill rates.
* Run parts promotions and local roll-out of parts marketing programs and initiatives.
* Monitor pricing policies on parts and service and competitiveness in the market.
* Liaise with the General Manager on action plans, reporting, departmental budgets, and future business and department strategy.
* Liaise with the Marketing Manager in the preparation and delivery of media and marketing activity for aftersales programs.
* Follow up on product installations from an aftersales perspective.
* Plan and conduct regular visits to customers to promote parts and service.
* Promote service contracts to customers within the territory.
* Attend product and technical training events related to technical service and personal development training.
Key Skills & Attributes:
* Number of years' experience in an aftersales role.
* Customer-focused, with experience in dealing with complex queries.
* Background in plant/products is desirable.
