Instrumentation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our multidisciplinary project engineering team. This individual will be responsible for undertaking feasibility, outline and detailed instrumentation and control design work.
The role requires the ability to design and construct instrumentation systems, including I/O schedules, alarm schedules, cause and effect schedules, instrument index and data sheets, hook up drawings, loop drawings, control philosophy development, user requirements specifications, system architecture design, fieldbus design, and scope/specification documents.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for routing and cabling containment designs, generating functional safety documentation and design substantiation, general engineering design, site visits and data collection, assisting with delivering design and general engineering projects, and technical checking of the team's work.
Key qualifications include experience in control and instrumentation specification and design, fieldbus technology design knowledge, reviewing vendor submittals, managing vendors/sub-contractors, and design experience for ATEX classified areas.
A Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation engineering or similar engineering degree is required, as well as proficiency in a windows-based environment and software, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team or independently when required.
