JOB ADVERTISEMENT APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION: CHILDREN'S SERVICE MANAGER EAST LIMERICK CHILDREN'S SERVICES, LIMERICK PERMANENT FULL-TIME CONTRACT (35 Hours Per Week) Salary: €81,444 - €98,231 *Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience.
Ref:82714 Avista are recruiting for a Children Service Manager in our Limerick service.
Responsible for the oversight, governance, management and development of children's services in the region including the Children's Disability Network Team and various models of children's respite services - both residential and home sharing through the relevant managers.
Reporting to the ACEO Limerick, North Tipperary/Offaly the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the necessary leadership and management skills required for this post.
We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, and socially inclusive manner.

Essential: A relevant professional qualification in an Allied Health, Social Care or Nursing Professional Grade Hold a qualification in a recognised management course Have at least 5 years relevant experience working in the disability sector Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Knowledge of government and national HSE policy particularly Progressing Disability Services for Children & Young People.
Knowledge and experience of best practice in Children's Disability Services including inter-disciplinary working and family centred practice.
Be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Evidence of effective planning and organisational skills including resource and budget management Have evidence of management and supervisory experience Full clean driving licence and the use of a car Applicants should possess Level 3 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
