Aleading Construction business operating in Ireland, UK and Mainland Europeis seeking aConstruction Buyerto join their Procurement Team in Dublin 11.This permanent role will support a multitude of live projects by procuring materials and plant, ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, and strong supplier performance across multiple sites and countriesResponsibilitiesProcure construction materials in line with project programmesManagement of the local site plant hires to ensure accurately recorded and reduce over hire costs.Ensure compliance with projected buying patterns of the project and flag issues.Place purchase orders and manage supplier lead timesLiaise closely with site teams to ensure delivery meets programme and specification requirementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractorsMonitor market pricing, availability, and supply chain trendsMaintain accurate procurement records and cost dataSupport the development of a strong product list and price book.Report on purchasing trends monthly to commercial team.The business encourages continuous improvement so suggestions for change are encouraged to improve business efficiency.Requirements2-3 years' experience as a Buyer within construction environment in IrelandStrong knowledge of construction materials and local supply chainsExcellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skillsPrevious exposure to Netsuite/ Orcale and advantage but not a pre-requisite.Proficient in Microsoft OfficeSalary & Benefits€50k +Pension/ On-Site ParkingCareer progression with a rapidly growing international businessJoining at the introduction of an ERP so lots of training opportunitiesExposure to European markets and projectsLong-term pipeline of projectsIf you are interested in the role described above, please send your CV toTalita Miranda at .
