About The JobDanone Infant Nutrition Macroom is a division of the Danone Group with the overall Group employing 100,000 talents in over 60 countries worldwide. Macroom Supply Point is a strategic spray drying factory within the division, being a major supplier of infant formula to other plants within the network.Shift Managers are responsible for the overall leadership, direction and coordination of Production employees. The Shift Manager will manage shift employees to achieve key business objectives of product quality, order fulfilment, OEE, labour efficiency, health and safety and budget control. The Shift Manager will also act as cover in the absence of the Plant manager and support the Plant Manager in Operations as appropriate.ResponsibilitiesLead the Shift Team to achieve production targets/KPIsEnsure the highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygieneMaintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping PracticeMonitor and control costsEnsure the safe working practices and conduct of the team, contractors and visitorsEnsure that team are properly trained and managed to work in a safe, quality conscious and effective wayMaintain positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levelsEnsure all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performanceDrive initiatives to maximise employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process/system efficienciesLiaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical and maintenance teams to achieve optimum resultsResponsible for Danone Internal Controls as assigned to you by the Internal ControllerInterface with HR in relation to employee performance/development and any employee relations issuesUpdate relevant HR systems as requiredThe Shift Manager will be expected to cover for the Production Manager when absent and support the Production Manager in other areas of productionContribute to the overall department performance plan in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and EnvironmentDrive correct usage, maintenance and development of all production systemsExperience2+ years experience in a management/supervisory role in the food manufacturing Industry is requiredThird level qualification in a related field is desirableSAP/MES/Scada experience highly desirableA strong understanding of Microsoft Office is requiredProven problem solving and troubleshooting skillsBenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you, including an excellent pension, private healthcare, life assurance, income protection, and more.At Danone we are passionate in our commitment to sustainability with the belief in building a healthier future through food.
