The Role:

As an Aircraft Cleaning Operative, you will maintain the cleanliness and presentation of aircraft, working closely with colleagues and airline representatives. Your responsibilities include performing cleaning tasks that enhance passenger comfort and safety, communicating effectively, and responding to operational challenges to ensure smooth service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Professional Cleaning: Perform cleaning tasks professionally, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
2. Carpet Maintenance: Vacuum carpets and wipe drop tables to keep the cabin tidy.
3. Galley Cleaning: Clean galleys using prescribed agents, maintaining hygiene and safety compliance.
4. Rubbish Removal: Remove and dispose of rubbish properly, adhering to environmental policies.
5. Toilet Maintenance: Clean and restock aircraft toilets to ensure high standards.
6. In-Flight Amenities: Place magazines and replace headrest covers to improve passenger experience.
7. Security Checks: Observe for suspicious items and report concerns.
8. Team Lead Coverage: Cover Team Lead duties as needed for operational continuity.
9. Facility Reporting: Report facility issues like plumbing defects for maintenance.

Maintain open communication with supervisors and colleagues to address issues promptly.

Essential Criteria:

* Minimum age of 18 years.
* Ability to pass a 5-year security background check and Garda vetting.
* Legal right to live and work in the EU.
* Proficient in written and spoken English.
* Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Physical capability to perform tasks involving twisting, bending, lifting, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
* Reliable punctuality and attendance.
* Adherence to grooming and uniform standards.

Desirable Criteria:

* Operational experience preferred.
* Full clean Category B driving license.
* Manual handling certification.

Contract and Hours:

This is a fixed-term, temporary contract with a 6-month probation period. The pay rate is €14.50 per hour. Standard hours are 20 hours/week, with possible additional hours depending on operational needs. Shift lengths vary from 4 to 10 hours, including early starts and late finishes.
