Overview
Our client, an established main contractor delivering projects across Ireland, is seeking a BIM Manager to join their Dublin office.
The successful candidate will lead and support the development and implementation of a DPD strategy from pre-contract through to project delivery and handover.
Responsibilities
Supporting the pre-construction team with the review of received tender documents (including Works Information, EIR, etc.) to identify Clients BIM and Digital requirements.
Providing technical review of 3D BIM models received at tender stage for federation, engineering checks, clash detection, logistics and cost management.
Support the production and delivery of project BEP, MIDP, MPDT and ensure internal project team and external parties are fully aware of their responsibilities.
Lead the DPD kick off meeting (jointly with the Information Manager) with the project management team to review and finalise the DPD strategy.
Support the BIM Engineers where required and mentor them as required.
Qualifications
Completed a third-level qualification in construction, computing or a related discipline.
5+ years' experience utilising Autodesk Revit, Viewpoints for Projects / Dalux (or similar CDE), Synchro Pro, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Lumion and other rendering software packages.
High attention to detail with an excellent writing ability.
Deadline driven with effective time management skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management software with a readiness to adapt to new technologies as needed.
