Community Nurse
Permanent Position
Staff Nurse: The 13-point salary scale for the post as of 01/02/2026:
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.

Community Nurse Team
Reporting to the Community Nurse Manager, the successful candidate will be delivering responsive person-centred care within the Horizons Community. This team will respond to the evolving health needs of the People We Support (PWS), through compassionate care, innovative approaches and sustainable practices, while actively promoting the health and wellbeing of the PWS across various settings within Horizons.
Possess a relevant third level qualification (level 8) in Nursing, be on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Possess valid up to date work permission for the legal right to live and work in Ireland.
Have very good interpersonal skills and the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the people Horizons supports are essential requirements.
Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is an advantage.
Have proficient IT Skills.
Be flexible and a team player.
A full clean driving license is essential.
