Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Mental Health Services

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to lead a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. This is a full‑time, temporary or permanent position reporting to the Director of Nursing and accountable to the Assistant Director of Nursing.
In this role, you will provide operational and clinical leadership, ensuring that nursing services are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with national standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with a committed multidisciplinary team to drive continuous improvement and high‑quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage nursing teams, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence‑based care
Implement and oversee operational changes, clinical governance, and risk management
Collaborate with residents, families, and staff in care planning and goal setting
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards including Health & Safety
Support the professional development of nurses and healthcare staff, including students
Participate actively in the multidisciplinary team and contribute to service improvement initiatives
Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with NMBI (or eligibility)
Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience, including at least 2 years as a Clinical Nurse Manager 1
Experience in mental health or acute hospital care, with palliative care experience desirable
Demonstrated knowledge of Mental Health Commission standards, clinical governance, and statutory regulations
Proven experience in staff management, workforce planning, and leadership
Commitment to continuous professional development
