The Role
As an Angular .Net Developer you will join our team providing support to our client to help build and support Real Estate Investment Management technology solutions. The client is on a multi-year journey migrating a legacy .net application to Angular & .net Core. In this role, you will work with a team built on collaboration, communication and focus & one motivated to deliver excellent service & support. Our team is responsible for the development of both the legacy .net and Angular applications, troubleshooting issues, both proactive and reactive in nature and updating and creating reporting services.
Your responsibilities:
* Work closely with the client development team.
* Independently design and create program code that is structured, easily maintained, and conforms to department standards.
* Comply with development coding standards and processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Analyse and validate computer program specifications, submitting questions or requests for program logic changes in writing.
* Prepare test data for trial runs; perform thorough program and application testing.
* Evaluate the scope and impact of a programming change or enhancement on the entire system.
* Maintain all compile jobs, code modules, and screens required to test programs and document requirements to move to production.
* Report to the project lead with articulation and insight on all aspects of the project.
* Develop and maintain all required documentation pertaining to the project.
* Participate in peer code reviews.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Excellent understanding of the .Net ecosystem (Core & Framework).
* In-depth hands-on experience using Angular.
* Strong development experience in SQL Server and database/performance tuning.
* Experience in application architecture in a distributed environment.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as TFS / Atlassian suite.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members, and management- along a wide spectrum of technical abilities.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field.
* Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application requirements.
* Experience with Cloud programming (AWS / Azure) and experience with docker containers.
* Business Knowledge: An understanding of the Investments Industry.
* Experience working on VB.net applications.
