BBPM Life dac is an Irish company based in Ireland since December 1999. The company is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland to sell class I and III assurance product in some European countries on a freedom of service basis. The company continues to develop new products for new and existing distribution channels in the European market. The Company's products are currently distributed in Italy through Banco BPM (the third Italian banking Group).
The Role
We are currently looking for a Risk Analyst to join our Company on a full-time and permanent contract. This is a crucial role offering hybrid work options after 6 months’ probation, subject to Company policies. The successful candidate is a motivated, willing to take responsibilities, a person able to adapt in a forward thinking fast paced environment. The individual will need to demonstrate drive, curiosity, an ability to work on its own initiative and an attention to detail.
Key responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Independent monthly calculation of SII technical provisions
Independent quarterly calculation of SII balance sheet
Work with Finance function to prepare company forecasts and budgets
Assists in the preparation of an Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) for the Company.
Track and calculate the risk tolerances on a periodic basis to measure if the company is within set tolerance level. Ensures that the correct escalation occurs should this not be the case.
Assists in preparing Risk reports periodically to senior management.
Carrying out the Risk Plan and reports regularly to Chief Risk Officer on the progress against plan.
Facilitates Company risk assessments.
Works with business units and support units to identify risks.
Periodically reviews, monitors the Company’s risks and prepare reporting for the CRO and relevant stakeholders.
Updates and maintains the Risks Register of the Company.
Assists in ensuring that the Company’s risk management framework is in line with the expectations of the Board of Directors and the Central Bank of Ireland.
Preparation and updating of relevant risk policies for the Company.
Be a contact point for the Group Risk Management.
Qualifications & Core Competences
At least 2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Actuarial or Mathematics.
Knowledge of insurance products, funds and/or asset management will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office tools.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Experience of working in a Risk/Actuarial role
Knowledge and understanding of Operational Risks
Experience in quantitative risk analysis.
Knowledge of Solvency II is a must
Knowledge of IFRS17 is a plus
Computer literacy in VBA, Python is a plus.
Detail orientated and good time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
