This role is based in our Head Office in Limerick, reporting to the Director of Engineering and Procurement. The role will be full time office based, with core working hours 8am - 5pm (1 hour break) Monday to Friday.DUTIESOversee and manage all civil engineering aspects of the project, including technical and constructability reviews of the design, ensuring onsite adherence to design drawings, and monitoring subcontractors H&S, programme and commercial milestones.Ensure the design is consistent with the Engineering, Procurement, & Construction (EPC) contract requirements and offering.Identify design issue on site and communicate to Design Team along with possible solutions. Communicate any delays to the Project Manager including detailed programme impacts.Review subcontractor H&S and environmental documentation.Lead and participate in onsite Health, Safety and Environmental audits.Perform accuracy and compliance checks on elements of subcontractors works as required.Assist the Project Management Group to support the execution of the project.Understand TMP's and carry out daily checks for compliance.Prepare regular progress reports on quality, H&S and Environmental milestones.Support proposal development by providing input regarding power plant proposals' civil requirements, including detailed technical evaluation, and developing detailed supporting documentation of supplier quotes and cost optimization derivations.Assist the Project Management Group to support the execution of the project.Negotiate with suppliers on technical aspects of equipmentMonitor all CSA related resources and activities on site.Assist the commercial team with evaluating work scope completion and payment claims.Provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to the entry-level engineers and field civil associates while driving accountability.QUALIFICATIONBS in Civil Engineering, Advanced degree in engineering or construction managementExcellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCADAdvanced MS Office skillsManaging Safely - or equivalent qualificationDO YOU HAVE?At least 5 years of experience with design/installation of power plants or industrial facilitiesProven working experience as a Civil Engineer working on larger scale multi-discipline projects.Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCADAdvanced MS Office skillsAbility to work with multi-discipline projectsProject management and supervision skillsDecision-making ability and leadership skillBenefits21 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro-rata).Company Pension Scheme.Life Assurance Scheme.Training and Education opportunities.We are happy to consider any reasonable adjustments that candidates may need during the recruitment process.If you see yourself as part of a growing APC Team that's intrinsically involved in creating a cleaner and brighter future in power generation that is both challenging and rewarding, then we'd love to hear from you.
