Rack Power Technician, Data Center Engineering and Operations
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continuous access to our cloud services. We seek talented individuals to join our diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Assisting in the installation and operation of racks and rack-based systems.
2. Responding to daily changes and demands during peak periods to maintain uptime.
3. Monitoring and maintaining data center rack systems, including incident handling and problem escalation.
4. Monitoring mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, chillers, and generators.
5. Supporting contractors and engineers in equipment operation and deployment.
6. Performing system walkthroughs to verify installation and update monitoring systems.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection, follow procedures, prioritize in fast-paced environments, and collaborate effectively with support teams.
Qualifications include:
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and experience with Microsoft Office.
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical or mechanical fields.
- EU driver's license and access to a vehicle for site visits across Sweden.
- Experience in data center engineering and capacity planning.
