Responsibilities (include but not limited to):Design and implement automated solutions that drive process efficiencies within finance operations and across the broader finance function.Work alongside underwriters/operations/project management team to ensure new products/distribution channels are fully embedded within finance processes in a controlled and scalable manner.Manage and support junior team members including review of their output.Develop and review reconciliations, ensuring they are completed on a timely basis and outstanding actions are investigated and resolved.Contribute to group systems implementation including impact assessment, process definition and UAT of same.Collaborate across functions to complete end-to-end process documentation covering key finance operation processes and controls.Support the internal and external audit teams on operational finance matters.Work with the tax team and outsource providers to ensure tax submissions and IPT are accurate and submitted on a timely basis.Work with the treasury team to ensure optimal processes for processing payments with appropriate disbursement controls and for anticipating large receipts or disbursements.Qualifications:Professionally qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with post-qualified experience.Preferably within an insurance accounting role.Strong academic background with a relevant bachelor's degree.Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles.Highly analytical and detailed, with the ability to see the bigger picture and communicate high-level messages to senior stakeholders.Solution-based problem-solving skills.Team player with the capability of working on own initiative and willing to help others.Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload continually.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop junior staff.Our Culture:At Everest, our purpose is to provide the world with protection.
