The Role
As Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our team by coordinating high-priority scientific projects, promoting expert staff development, and fostering a collaborative working culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team delivering critical fisheries assessments and scientific outputs.
* Promote training, performance management, and succession planning across the team.
* Collaborate with HR to drive positive change and implement best practices.
* Oversee the delivery of strategic scientific outputs for government clients, including major annual reports and advisory publications.
* Coordinate stakeholder engagements, provide clear briefings on complex scientific issues, and represent Ireland at international forums.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with national and international partners, industry leaders, and NGOs.
* Ensure effective resource planning, budgeting, and compliance with internal policies.
* Support internal and external communication of scientific work and monitor client satisfaction.
