Job Summary:
A Junior Legal Secretary is required to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in a legal office, preferably in conveyancing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft and format letters, documents, and correspondence under supervision
* Manage and maintain electronic and paper legal files, including filing, scanning, and archiving
* Handle telephone calls, take messages, and liaise with clients and third parties where necessary
* Assist with digital dictation and transcription
* Perform general office duties, such as photocopying, scanning, and mail handling
Requirements:
* 6–12 months' experience working in a legal office, preferably in conveyancing
* Good typing and transcription skills, including audio/dictation typing if used
* Ability to manage both electronic and physical client files, including file opening, closing, and archiving
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
* Experience using a case or file management system, or willingness to learn
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work under supervision, while also showing initiative
