Description
Our Cork City team is expanding and we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at this exciting stage of our journey. The successful candidate will work alongside a leading team providing exceptional service to our clients. They will work to deadlines and support other members of the team where needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure day to day client files are completed correctly and within the timeframes and requirements set
* Support junior team members with questions and queries to ensure accurate work is produced
* Deliver client work of the highest standards and ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements
* Ensure the correct client documentation is received in a timely and efficient manner to ensure deadlines can be met
* Handle client requests and queries in a manner that promotes client loyalty
* Record own chargeable time and ensure all billable hours can be recovered
* Prepare client paperwork (Accounts, tax, PAYE, VAT) within allocated deadlines to allow timely submission to Revenue
Key Requirements
* 3-5 years general accounting practice experience
* ACA/ACCA qualified or in progress
* An in-depth knowledge of Accounting Standards
Additional Requirements
* Leadership skills with an ability to supervise
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
* Self‑starter who can critically analyse and assess information
