Role Overview
As a Senior Psychologist, you will be a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality therapy to service users and their families. You will support your colleagues through reflective practice, consultation, supervision, and training.
The role requires comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions for adults with complex mental health presentations. Your expertise in clinical decision-making, service planning, and promoting psychological approaches across the team is essential.
You will manage and prioritize an independent caseload while working collaboratively with the MDT. This position demands strong clinical formulation, intervention, and risk management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions for adults with complex mental health needs.
* Lead clinical decision-making and contribute to service planning and development.
* Support and train other team members in psychological approaches.
* Manage and prioritize a caseload, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users and their families.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology.
* Eligibility for professional registration with the relevant professional body.
* Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years at Senior or equivalent level.
* Proven ability to work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience working with adults with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
* Experience working with people with psychosis from a variety of backgrounds.
* Excellent clinical formulation, intervention, and risk management skills.
* Full driving licence and access to a car are required for this role.
