Group Financial Accountant Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join a global organisation as a Group Accountant, where they will gain hands-on experience in group consolidations, technical accounting, and SOX compliance.
The ideal candidate will have experience auditing listed clients and will be technically strong with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
The Role:
* Support the monthly group consolidation and close process under IFRS.
* Act as a bridge between the onshore finance function and the offshore team in India.
* Assist with technical accounting areas including IFRS 2 (Share-Based Payments), IFRS 16 (Leases), and complex debt instruments.
* Support both internal and external audit processes.
* Ensure compliance with SOX controls and Group accounting policies.
The successful candidate will contribute to finance transformation and system/process improvement projects, providing backup for key offshore processes when needed.
Requirements:
* ACA-qualified (or equivalent), ideally Big 4 or Top 6 trained.
* 12 years PQE, ideally with PLC or group audit experience.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and understanding of SOX requirements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently.
The ideal candidate will also have experience with ERP or consolidation systems and previous in-house experience in a listed group finance environment.
