Senior Financial Accountant
We are working with a great client in Dublin 11. They are recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. You will report directly to the Commercial Finance Manager and you will be responsible for key financial insights and commercial support to the FD and the wider business.

Responsibilities for Role
* Month-End & Year-End responsibilities: Prepare full month-end and year-end accounts for 2 key trading companies and smaller group entities. Ensure month-end close by Day 5 and provide variance analysis to the Commercial Finance Manager (CFM).
* Reconciliations & Reporting: Prepare detailed and consistent balance sheet reconciliations. Align management accounts to statutory accounts. Deliver daily, weekly, monthly financial reports—timely and accurate. Develop the monthly management pack to support decision-making.
* Audit, Tax, and Compliance: Manage the statutory audit process across regions. Coordinate corporation tax requirements. Ensure compliance with financial controls, tax regulations, and general ledger standards.
* Business Partnering & Strategic Support: Act as a Finance Business Partner to internal departments and senior management. Identify cost-saving and margin improvement opportunities. Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes (cost perspective). Provide reports to help drive key business decisions.
* Inventory & Cash Flow: Review inventory variances regularly. Attend warehouse stock audits throughout the year. Develop multi-currency cashflow forecasting templates. Participate in ad hoc projects, reporting, and financial analysis as required.
Requirements for Role
* Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
* 0-2 years post qualified experience
* Good Excel skills required
* Attention to detail a must
* Strong planning and analytical skillset to handle the wide scope and requirements of this role
* Excellent communication skills
