National Account Manager / FMCG (Nationwide) Our client is a well-established highly reputable FMCG company based in Dublin seeking a National Account Manager to deliver key initiatives cross the island of Ireland (ROI and NI).
Building and managing strong relationships with key retail partners and driving sales performance.
Managing and growing key retail customers and partners at a Head Office level.
Salary: €65 K - €75 K plus bonus, car or car allowance plus benefits.
The Overall Role: Develop and execute National Account Strategy aligned with Commercial plan and wider brand objectives and category trends.
Create annual Business plan with clear leading and lagging targets which can be translated to account level and developed into clear JBPs with retail partners Identify growth opportunities across retailers and channels Key Responsibilities: Retail & Customer Management Manage and enhance relationships at all levels, with all key retail customers across ROI & NI, and cross functionally Negotiate, with the support of the commercial director and category management, terms, promotional calendars, CPIs, and space planning agreements Act as the main contact for: New product listings setup, communication (including Marketing), and execution.
Retailer cost price changes (CPI) negotiate effectively to deliver commercial objectives.
Promotion planning and budgeting per retail account.
Category reviews and sales data reporting identify losses and opportunities to drive growth.
Brandbank Library maintenance and updates.
LTA agreements ensure delivery of objectives with each retail partner.
Sales & Growth Drive top line growth via market share and penetration, with the support of the Head of Marketing Support and develop retailer-specific plans to drive trial, sales performance, and category growth.
Develop export opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customers (ROI & NI).
Trade Marketing Coordinate trade marketing initiatives, in-store activations and Planogram compliance Align POS/ OFD materials, consumer promos, and digital initiatives with account requirements Ensure consistent execution to target of brand KPIs across accounts Category Management Analyse category performance and consumer insights to inform and recognise opportunities and challenges Collaborate with the Head of Category, Marketing to optimise category trends and opportunities with accounts and partnerships with key retailers Financial Accountability Manage the budgets for each account including trade spend and trade marketing Monitor profitability by account to gross margins and ROI on every investment Prepare regular reports and exceptions for the Commercial Director Commercial Support Provide comprehensive admin and operational support to the Commercial Team.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems and reporting tools.
Assist in planning, budgeting, costing, and new product development processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration Liaise with internal departments to ensure alignment across teams and consistent communication.
Proactively suggest and support improvements to business processes.
Management and Implementation of Category Management Strategy with Sales Team, Retail Customers and Distributors.
Proven track record of delivering work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Full clean driving license.
