A full-service building contractor and developer is seeking a skilled Setting Out Engineer to join the team on a high-profile project comprising a residential development, a creche, and a nursing home.
Key Responsibilities
Setting Out & Surveying: Accurately set out site works in accordance with design drawings, ensuring all levels, alignments, and dimensions are precise.
Coordination: Work closely with site management, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the correct implementation of the design.
Quality Control: Conduct regular checks and maintain detailed records of all setting out activities to guarantee compliance with project specifications.
Problem Solving: Identify potential discrepancies or conflicts on site and develop practical solutions promptly.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all setting out operations are conducted in line with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
Reporting & Communication: Provide accurate updates to the project team, management, and clients, and raise any concerns regarding site measurements or layout.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Strong knowledge of surveying instruments, techniques, and construction processes.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
Full driving licence required.
Relevant surveying or civil engineering qualification preferred.
