TransferMate is now seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Global Banking to lead the delivery of our global banking strategy. This pivotal role will drive the expansion and optimization of our banking network, working cross-functionally with key business stakeholders to unlock new revenue opportunities and enhance our global financial capabilities.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Own and evolve the Global Coverage Roadmap, aligning banking strategy with business growth objectives.
* Lead the strategic management and distillation of high-volume banking data to inform executive decision-making and drive business outcomes.
* Balance competing priorities across global initiatives while maintaining clear alignment with agreed business objectives.
* Navigate complex demands and shifting priorities to ensure consistent focus on strategic business goals.
* Act as the senior representative for TransferMate in all banking relationships, owning service issues and escalations.
* Co-ordinate quarterly business reviews with each banking relationship, aligning with TransferMate business stakeholders, to identify challenges and remove barriers to progress.
* Attend industry events designed to foster strong partnerships and negotiate favourable terms with banking providers.
* Attend key industry events to stay informed on the evolving payments and banking landscape and emerging product innovations.
* Lead workforce planning efforts, balancing growth needs with budgetary constraints and organizational goals.
Innovation
* Represent the business at industry events to track advancements in payment technologies and banking solutions.
* Leverage AI bots and software automation to streamline tracking processes and reduce operational overhead.
Efficiency-Focused
* Utilise AI-driven tools to simplify data tracking and minimize manual workload across banking operations.
* Implement intelligent automation and bot technologies to enhance tracking accuracy and reduce process friction.
* Foster a high-performance culture by coaching, mentoring, and implementing structured performance management practices.
* Manage team capacity and headcount to support delivery of strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
Performance Management:
* Drive team performance through clear goal setting, continuous feedback, and alignment with strategic objectives.
* Manage individual and team performance to ensure consistent delivery against business targets and KPIs.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Management
* Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
* Represent the company at industry events, forums, and regulatory engagements.
* Provide strategic guidance to internal teams to ensure alignment across business lines.
* Partner with Commercial, Treasury, Product, Finance, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to identify banking needs and opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal teams to streamline and interpret high-volume banking data, enabling informed decisions across Commercial, Treasury, and Product functions.
* Support cross-functional initiatives that enhance banking coverage and operational efficiency.
* Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring delivery remains focused on core business outcomes.
Project Management
* Lead and manage banking-related projects from inception to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
* Coordinate cross-functional efforts to manage competing priorities and uphold alignment with stakeholder-agreed goals.
* Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and report on key milestones to senior leadership.
Pricing Strategy
* Analyse and condense large-scale banking datasets into actionable insights that support pricing, coverage, and capability strategies.
* Develop and maintain competitive pricing models for banking services in collaboration with Finance and Product teams.
* Analyse market trends and partner feedback to refine pricing structures.
Capabilities & Collateral
* Oversee the creation and distribution of banking capabilities collateral to support internal teams and external partners.
* Ensure materials are accurate, compelling, and aligned with TransferMate's brand and strategic positioning.
Required Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience in global banking strategy, financial services, or fintech.
* Strong understanding of international banking networks, regulatory environments, and cross-border payments.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Demonstrated success in project management and strategic planning.
* Analytical mindset with a focus on commercial outcomes.
