Role summary
We're hiring an Odoo & Stock Control Lead to make Odoo the single source of truth across our business (retail + distribution). This role owns stock accuracy for parts and whole units (VIN/serialised vehicles), enforces purchasing/receiving/dispatch processes, trains staff, and produces daily exception reporting.
This is a hands-on operations role: you'll be on the floor fixing issues, tightening controls, and building simple, repeatable routines.
Company
DAVMO Ltd (T/A Quad Factors / Loncin ORV Ltd) – ATV/UTV retail + wholesale/distribution across Ireland/UK.
Location
Based in Ireland (Kells, Co. Meath) with on-site presence required. Some travel to other locations/warehousing partners may be needed.
Reporting line
Reports to: Managing Director (and works closely with Accounts and General Manager).
Key outcomes (what success looks like)
* Stock accuracy improves to 98–99% (cycle counts vs Odoo)
* 100% of goods received are validated in Odoo within 24 hours
* 100% of purchases processed via PO (no PO = no receive)
* Negative stock / unvalidated moves reduced to zero (or trending to zero daily)
* Daily exception report issued by 10:00 with actions and owners
Core responsibilitiesOdoo ownership & process control
* Own the end-to-end workflow: Purchase Order → Receipt → Putaway → Sale/Dispatch → Validation
* Enforce non-negotiable rules:
* No PO = no receiving
* No validation = nothing leaves
* No manual stock edits except authorised controlled adjustments
* Set and maintain clear product master standards (naming, categories, UoM, barcodes)
* Lock down permissions so only the right roles can adjust/override stock
Stock accuracy (parts)
* Ensure stock is correctly loaded and maintained in Odoo (locations, quantities, barcodes)
* Run cycle counts (ABC approach) and reconcile variances with documented reason codes
* Identify root causes of discrepancies and implement fixes (training, process changes, access control)
Units / VIN control
* Manage the unit intake process for VIN/serialised stock (status, location, documentation)
* Ensure VIN/COC data is captured correctly and consistently
* Maintain clear unit statuses (e.g., In Transit / In Yard / PDI / Ready / Sold)
* Ensure deliveries are validated correctly and traceability is maintained
Training & enforcement
* Train staff by role (purchasing, warehouse, sales counter, managers)
* Create simple 1-page SOPs and checklists for daily use
* Hold the line on compliance; escalate repeat issues with evidence
Reporting & continuous improvement
* Produce a daily "exceptions" report covering:
* Unvalidated receipts (count + oldest)
* Unvalidated deliveries
* Negative stock lines
* Stock adjustments (what/why/who)
* Top problem SKUs and root causes
* Maintain weekly KPI dashboard and improvement plan
* Work with Accounts to ensure stock movements align with invoicing and controls
Required experience
* Proven experience in stock control / warehouse operations / inventory management
* Experience using an ERP system (Odoo ideal; otherwise Sage/NetSuite/Unleashed/other)
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
* Confident communicator who can challenge bad habits and enforce standards
* Solid Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, reconciliation)
Preferred (nice to have)
* Odoo Inventory experience (receipts, internal transfers, serial/lot tracking)
* Parts/vehicle/machinery industry experience
* Barcode scanning and location/bin management experience
Personal attributes
* Process-driven, consistent, and calm under pressure
* Takes ownership and follows through
* Comfortable being accountable for numbers and outcomes
* Practical problem-solver: fixes root causes, not just symptoms

Competitive salary depending on experience + performance-based review after probation.
