Health and Safety Officer: A progressive and highly reputable Main Building Contractor is looking for a Health and Safety Officer with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join their team on a long-term project Pharma project in Limerick.
The successful candidate will report to the EHS Manager and will have ample opportunities for career progression and upskilling.
We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience working on similar types of construction projects for a Main Contractor.
Role: Implement the companys health, safety, quality, and environmental policies, procedures, and management systems Assist site management in preparing and communicating Method Statements, Safe Plans of Action, and Toolbox Talks Provide advice, guidance, and instruction on all health and safety matters to management, safety reps, and employees (including sub-contractors) Deliver Health & Safety induction programs for new employees and subcontractors Conduct regular site inspections and audits, report findings, and ensure prompt corrective actions Ensure all accidents are reported, investigated, and recorded, and that proper notifications are made to Directors, Health & Safety Authority, and Insurers Prepare and compile Safety Files for handover to the Client at the projects completion Promote the companys mission to maintain a healthy, incident-free work environment Requirements: Relevant qualification in Health and Safety Minimum 3 years experience working on building projects in Ireland or the UK Full, clean driving license Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Package: Salary: €60k-€70k Pension and benefits package Excellent career development opportunities Company vehicle or car allowance If youre a Health and Safety Officer considering a new role, please send your CV or contact Declan Hasson for a confidential discussion.
