Electrical Engineering Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer in the Naval Service, you will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems on our fleet of ships.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and be responsible for ensuring operational readiness by maintaining essential electrical infrastructure, including power generation and distribution. You will also diagnose faults in electrical circuits, control systems and automated machinery, conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and system testing to ensure operational efficiency.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will work closely with other teams to respond to emergency situations and exercises, including firefighting and damage control duties. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, has excellent communication skills and is committed to providing exceptional service.
Requirements:
* Be a citizen of the Irish State or have a legal entitlement to reside and work in the State for the period of any such appointment
* Meet the required minimum standards of medical and physical fitness as assessed during the recruitment process
* Have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
* Have experience in electrical engineering or a related field
Benefits:
* A competitive basic salary of €49,000 per annum with yearly increments
* An additional approx. €20,000 per annum allowance
* Tax-free allowances for overseas service
