Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and focused Commies Chef to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily meal production for the restaurant and patient meals at UHG hospital. The role offers a work‑life balance, fewer late nights and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily meal production for the restaurant and patient meals.
Champion the food offering on campus by delivering excellent food services in our restaurant.
Follow Catering Hygiene Policy, Aramark dress code, HACCP guidelines and record all necessary information accurately.
Ensure correct stock rotation procedures and use the FIFO rule.
Cooperate fully in all health and safety training programmes.
Comply with and adhere to all Aramark & Hospital policies and procedures.
Show culinary creativity and possess working experience in a fast‑paced catering environment.
Multi‑task and handle multiple roles as required, with a good understanding of all sections of the kitchen.
Maintain good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role in a fast‑paced catering business.
Strong background in food production.
Knowledge of Food Hygiene, including HACCP, and a problem‑solving mindset.
Flexible, can‑do attitude.
Garda Vetting may be required.
