Excel Recruitment is seeking a driven and experienced Conference & Banqueting Manager to join the management team of a renowned 4-star hotel in Co. Kildare.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional with a strong background in weddings and events. The ideal candidate will be confident leading a team and delivering exceptional service across a wide range of functions.

Responsibilities of the Conference and Banqueting Manager

8. Lead and manage all wedding, banquet, and event operations within the hotel
9. Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of all functions to a high standard
10. Coordinate closely with departments, including kitchen, bar, front office, and sales
11. Act as point of contact for wedding couples and event clients, ensuring all details are delivered as agreed
12. Deliver clear service briefings and supervise staff on the floor during events
13. Support team training across service standards, guest care, and food & beverage knowledge
14. Assist in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-organised working environment
15. Handle any incidents or issues during service professionally and efficiently
16. Contribute to stock, rota, and cost control where required

Requirements of the Conference and Banqueting Manager

17. Minimum 2 years experience in a similar events or banqueting management role in a 4-star hotel or equivalent, a hospitality qualification is a plus
18. Strong experience managing weddings and private functions
19. Confident leading teams in a high-volume service environment
20. Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills
21. Good knowledge of food & beverage service standards
22. Full legal right to work in Ireland
