Primary responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to;
* Multi-building maintenance services
* General domestic and industrial plumbing services
* Install, maintain, and repair a range of mechanical and plumbing services
* Experience with Plant Room and plant room mechanical and plumbing services
* Diagnose and repair faults in engineering installations and associated plant and equipment
* Knowledge and experience working on pumping & heating equipment
* Hot and cold-water systems, LPHW boilers, pressurisation units, pump sets, industrial size water softeners, water treatment, well supply pumps, wastewater treatment systems and irrigation systems
* Knowledge of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, catering equipment, laundry equipment and electrical systems.
* RGI Boiler Servicing would be advantageous but not necessary.
Requirements for this role;
* Trades qualified with certification
* A mechanical background and proven experience as an industrial plumber
* Understanding of water distribution systems in commercial and domestic buildings
* Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances (HVAC etc)
* Trained in the use of plumbing tools and equipment including gas welding/brazing of pipelines, joints and fittings.
* Ability to handle all types of plumbing tools and equipment.
* Experience with all types of plumbing fittings, knowledge of full range of plumbing piping materials from ½ "copper up to 8" steel lines, compression, welded, flanged and bolted joints.
* Flexibility to cover maintenance in other areas within the Facilities department.
* A self motivated person, with a can do attitude that can work of their own initiative.
Working as part of the maintenance team, the person will be willing to work, days and evening shifts.
