Divisional/Global Project Engineer Job Purpose Design, specification, installation, project management and engineering technical support to the client's manufacturing sites. To continuously improve the performance, efficiency, safety & cost-effectiveness of all engineering products and systems by developing, supporting, and driving improvement opportunities and best practice methodologies. This role requires high levels of travel across Europe, North America and Asia. Appropriate Travel Visa is required Key Accountabilities Support and lead in the planning of both minor and major engineering projects on our manufacturing sites Support and lead site teams and contractors in the installation and commissioning of equipment. Produce engineering design and project support deliverables in line with Functional Design Specifications and client's engineering standards. To support the existing manufacturing processes through identification and correction of re-occurring faults and assist with the implementation of any necessary improvements. To carry out specific engineering tasks delegated to them by the Divisional Engineering Project Managers / Engineering Managers as appropriate. Partner with other sites / disciplines to deliver specific projects. Ensure production machinery is managed and available, this includes the review of maintenance, repair, upgrades, and to ensure legislative compliance, obsolescence of site equipment. Manage Capex projects from cradle to grave. Manage funds respective to Capex projects, to ensure budget control. Ensure that plans are in place to ensure the effective operation of engineering projects. Conduct ongoing evaluations of engineering products and systems to ensure that performance of all is optimised. Carry out installation work to include modifying existing equipment and installation of new equipment. Inspect completed installations to ensure conformance with required operational and legislative standards. Ensure compliance to preventative maintenance systems on all projects. Communicate equipment issues and/or parts replacement requirements to site or group management as appropriate. Prepare, develop & provide as appropriate, engineering reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends. Ensure that all project work, equipment, machinery, interchangeable machine parts are operated in accordance with group health & safety, quality, and environmental policy requirements. Support site management in ensuring that site systems & procedures are operated across the site fully in accordance with company health & safety policy, quality, and environmental requirements. Ensure that group health & safety, quality and environmental policies are followed through all projects on site and that appropriate records are maintained. Support group management in the pursuit of business development and improvement programmes. To assist with activities beyond the normal role as required. Ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO & 50001 accreditations and all other certifications currently in place, including CE marking. Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures; Participate in training as required; Ensure site adherence to and operation of the Compliance Management System responsibilities within ISO 37301 Clause 5 section 5.3.4., the company handbook and Code of Conduct. Key Skills & Experience Essential At least five years' experience in engineering role with an Engineering HNC. Ability to read, analyse, interpret 2D & 3D engineering drawings. Good problem-solving skills. Strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills. Experience in Project management, planning, installation, and commissioning. Experience in CAD or similar drawing software programmes. Experience in working on pneumatic systems, hydraulics. Experience in interpretation of general, electrical hydraulic & pneumatic engineering drawings. Proficient in creating or reading P+ID's. Formal qualification in latest edition requirements for electrical installations. Desirable Mechanical / Electrical or manufacturing Engineering degree. Good knowledge of cold rolling processes & techniques. Good knowledge of general health & safety legislation requirements. Skills: Project Management Manufacturing Engineering
