Overview
We’re looking for a Sales Engineer who will drive rapid and sustainable growth of Emerson's Reliability Solutions (RS) and Machinery Health Management (MHM) portfolio across Ireland by identifying opportunities, influencing key stakeholders and delivering measurable reliability outcomes for customers in process, manufacturing and energy sectors.
In this role you will be responsible for all sales activities to meet or exceed the agreed bookings and strategic business objectives within Ireland.
Responsibilities

Actively promote and sell Reliability Solutions and MHM offerings including products, solutions and services in Ireland.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual booking targets through proactive territory management and opportunity prioritisation.
Develop and execute a focused sales strategy to expand adoption of Emerson’s MHM solutions (AMS Machine Works software, wireless vibration monitoring, online condition-based monitoring, Machine Portable analyzers, etc.,) within existing and new accounts.
Drive a fast-paced sales cycle from prospecting to order placement while maintaining disciplined opportunity management in CRM and accurate POR forecasting.
Build trusted relationships with plant reliability, maintenance, and operations leaders to position Emerson as their long-term reliability partner.
Seek new opportunities within Emerson customers and new customers in the agreed sales territory in; Competitive displacement opportunities, OEM business, Project Pursuits, and within EPCs and Consultants.
Partner with wider Emerson XBU teams and Lifecycle Services team to cross sell and bundle MHM offerings to new and existing customers.
Identify whitespace opportunities and convert them into qualified pipeline opportunities aligned with annual growth targets.
Champion a culture of urgency, accountability and teamwork within the RS Team.
Stay informed on industry trends and needs in Predictive Maintenance and digital reliability transformation to help guide customer strategy.
Report on quotation & project potential through POR and other reporting mechanisms.
Continuously drive the improvement of customer satisfaction by understanding, communicating and executing solutions to their needs.
Report regularly to the direct supervisor on market trends, competition strategies and customer behaviors which may affect Emerson business strategies.
At all times conduct business ethically and observe the “Business Ethics” stipulated by Emerson.
Perform other duties as requested by your Supervisors.
Identify market requirements and specifics, develop and execute the strategies and tactics for growth of orders and profitability in the agreed sales territory.

Who You Are
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in proactive business development within the process automation industry. You will be highly motivated by winning strategic deals. For This Role, You Will Need

Proven experience of pro-active New Business Development, Field Sales and a Systems background.
Substantial experience of direct consultative selling, with a track record of securing new business.
The ability to build, nurture, and leverage strong customer relationships and develop successful cross-functional internal relationships.
Demonstrate ability to work effectively with the Emerson portfolio – an appreciation and ability to understand product applications is essential.
Demonstrate a pro-active, flexible and pragmatic approach.
Flexible to travel to fulfil duties of the role.
