The Delta V Automation Engineer will support the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of Emerson Delta V DCS solutions within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
This is a hands-on engineering role, working closely with Automation, Process, Validation, and Quality teams to deliver compliant and reliable control systems.
Key Responsibilities Configure, develop, and maintain Emerson Delta V control systems for GMP manufacturing processes Support the full project lifecycle including design, development, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover Develop and modify Delta V control modules, batch configurations, and system graphics Support integration of process equipment, skids, utilities, and interfaces to MES and historian systems Participate in automation risk assessments and support GMP-compliant system design Support CSV activities, including generation and execution of automation-related IQ/OQ documentation Troubleshoot and resolve automation and control system issues during project execution and operations Ensure automation solutions comply with c GMP, GAMP 5, and data integrity requirements Support change control activities and system upgrades in a regulated environment Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Validation, IT, and Quality Support regulatory inspections and internal audits as required Adhere to site EHS and safety procedures during commissioning and on-site activities Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical, or related discipline4–7 years of experience working with Emerson Delta V DCS in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environments Hands-on experience with Delta V configuration, graphics, alarms, and system architecture Experience supporting GMP-regulated manufacturing, utilities, or packaging systems Strong understanding of GMP requirements, GAMP 5 principles, and automation validation practices Experience supporting FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system qualification activities Familiarity with batch processes and ISA-88 concepts is highly desirable Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills
