The role of a Fire Protection Construction Manager is crucial in ensuring the safe execution of fire protection systems on construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain detailed project scopes
* Manage project changes effectively, ensuring a verifiable and verified paper trail
* Own the project execution for fire protection systems, collaborating with the operations manager to set specific goals and objectives
As the primary driver of weekly and daily work plans, you will ensure all personnel understand change management and cost approval processes. You will work closely with the design team to procure materials, designs, and equipment ahead of schedule.
In this challenging role, you will develop a thorough understanding of project scope and design, ensuring seamless collaboration with clients, main contractors, and design departments. You will also be responsible for:
* Managing foremen and supervisors under your control, ensuring optimal hours allocation
* Monitoring internal and external reporting of projects, updating S-Curves for progress reporting
* Achieving 0.99% right-first-time quality standards on all works
* Ensuring team members have required training to deliver project requirements
* Leading by example, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to IFW philosophy
With strong project controls skills, you will demonstrate a deep understanding of project delivery stages, from start-up to ramp down, and scope change control. Your expertise will be essential in driving quality and safety indicators that reflect individual performance and align with overall project goals.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 5-7 years' experience working with recognized contractors and multi-disciplinary construction teams
* Trade and/or relevant third-level qualification - mechanical
* Sprinkler and fire protection experience, along with exposure to specialized industrial sectors like Life Sciences, Pharma, Mission Critical & Datacentres
* Demonstrated capability in construction delivery, knowledge of Health & Safety, and ability to contribute to project implementation
