The Cloud Engineering Lead Architect role sits at a senior position within the Compute architecture team and requires a candidate who can work across the Compute verticals, clearly communicating with Directors and Managing Directors on design choices and progress.
They must also be comfortable discussing deeply technical decisions with relevant engineering and operational staff.
Responsibilities: Identify, establish and maintain strategic partnerships with executives from technology vendors within assigned area and coordinate to influence vendor product roadmaps to be in line with Citi strategic goals Work in a team alongside other senior architect staff and take responsibility for the design and oversee the delivery of strategic projects end-to-end.
Ensure that Citi makes appropriate strategic choices in the onboarding, management and exiting of vendors from the product portfolio Ensure there is adequate capital budget to develop and implement the assigned strategic technology roadmap Provide technical leadership in the design of highly complex systems Develop and advocate for new solutions to undefined system needs, where no solution is available within the technical community Impact the engineering function by contributing to technical direction and strategic decisions Mentor junior team members and allocate work Exhibit knowledge of how own specialty area contributes to the business and apply knowledge of competitors, products and services Qualifications: 10+ of relevant experience in an Engineering role Massive virtualization and enterprise automation skills with strong experience with the following technologies: Extensive experience in building/running enterprise scale platform offerings in a platform-as-a-service model.
