We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to residents. Working closely with the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines across all levels of staff within the care home.
Job Description
* General Care, Quality & Standards: Ensure all policies, procedures, and guidelines are implemented and practiced at all levels of staff throughout the care home.
* Resident Care: Work towards ensuring the quality-of-life goal is met for all residents, providing individualized and holistic care that meets each resident's needs.
* People Management: Develop a trusting relationship with employees, relatives, and residents, motivating them through leadership, communication, and empowerment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 7 years post-registration experience, with 2 years in a leadership/management role within a rehabilitation, nursing home, or similar healthcare setting.
* Hold an appropriate qualification in People Management (minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).
* Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, HSE requirements, and relevant legislation.
