Resident Engineer
Location: Limerick
Contract: 18 months
Resident Engineer with 5-7 years' experience required to join one of Ireland's leading Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancies with offices across Ireland and the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Resident Engineer to take on a key role delivering a landmark €150m mixed-use development in Limerick city.
The successful Resident Engineer will lead the on-site resident engineering team, overseeing the delivery of multiple construction contracts across a high-profile public project of major regional and national significance.
The role will involve ensuring works are delivered to the highest technical, safety and quality standards across a major city-centre redevelopment within Limerick's Georgian Quarter.
This role would be ideal for a Resident Engineer looking to progress their career on one of Ireland's most significant urban regeneration projects.
Sample projects:
€150m mixed-use city centre redevelopment
7-storey office building
14-storey office building
New city library and office development
Public plaza and underground parking infrastructure
Refurbishment of protected heritage structures
Major demolition and enabling works packages
You will ideally have experience in the following:
Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
Strong experience in civil engineering works
Experience liaising with the Employer's Representative, contractor, client and key stakeholders
Organising and maintaining site supervision throughout construction works
Maintaining detailed site diaries, reports, records, correspondence and photographic records
Reviewing contractor payment applications against completed works
Reviewing contractor design submissions, method statements and variations to Works Requirements
Monitoring construction progress against programme and reporting delays or risks
Ensuring compliance with permits, licences and statutory approvals
Experience with Temporary Traffic Management Plans and construction phasing
Supporting claims management including additional payment claims and extensions of time
Contract administration experience including maintaining contractual records and reports
Desirable:
Experience on large-scale public sector infrastructure projects
Experience working on mixed-use commercial developments
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and Employer's Representative procedures
Experience on complex city-centre or urban regeneration projects
