Job DescriptionA Kitchen Helper supports the kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation, cleaning, and organizational tasks. This role ensures that the kitchen operates efficiently, safely, and hygienically. The Kitchen Helper works under the supervision of the Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Manager.Key Responsibilities:Food PreparationWash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits.Assist with simple food preparation tasks (mixing, measuring, portioning).Prepare ingredients and set up workstations for cooks.Kitchen SupportDeliver ingredients and supplies to cooks as needed.Maintain cleanliness and organization of food storage areas.Store food properly following safety and hygiene standards.Cleaning & SanitationWash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, counters, and floors.Dispose of garbage and ensure proper waste segregation.Maintain overall kitchen cleanliness according to health and safety regulations.Equipment HandlingSafely operate basic kitchen equipment (dishwasher, mixers, ovens, etc.).Report malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to supervisors.Qualifications:No formal education required; high school diploma is an advantage.Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus but not mandatory.Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.Skills & Attributes:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.Good communication and teamwork skills.Physical stamina to stand, lift, and carry items.Working Conditions:Shift-based work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat and noise.Job Type: Part-timePay: €13.50 per hourExpected hours: No less than 20 per weekWork Location: In person
