Principal Software Engineer

We have partnered with a global client that is looking to hire an experienced Principal Engineer with a background in the Financial Services sector. This is a great opportunity to join a development team that has chosen Dublin to be the location of the Engineering & Technology COE.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee & lead a team of talented development engineers
* Continuously stay on top of tech trends and ensure the team is upskilled in the most up to date technologies
* Assist n the delivery of modern, cutting-edge technical solutions that are in line with business needs.
* Help lead buy vs. build assessments and manage ongoing vendors.
Requirements:
* 15+ years experience in building out enterprise level solutions with a strong knowledge of architecture design & development.
* Expert in in programming languages such as Python & NodeJS
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
* Track record of mentoring team members and building out technical teams
* Experienced in databases such as SQL/ NoSQL
* Strong knowledge of the Financial Services industry having worked with large enterprise institutions
