Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the Food Safety and Quality Systems at our bakery in Co. Wexford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Food Safety and Quality Systems: Implement and maintain food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, GMP, Pest Control, Plant Hygiene, and Internal Audits.
* Product Quality: Ensure product quality consistently meets agreed specifications and is delivered to customer expectations.
* Quality Culture: Manage all aspects of food safety and foster a Quality Culture throughout the business.
* Collaboration: Collaborate closely with site management and team leaders to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
* Training: Provide training to all site staff to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
* Audits: Lead and support site audits, including third-party, customer, and regulatory audits.
* Hygiene Department: Manage the hygiene department and external cleaning contractors to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
* Corrective Actions: Plan and implement corrective and preventive actions as required to address non-compliance or process improvements.
* Policies and Standards: Ensure company policies and operational standards are consistently met.
* Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reductions while maintaining high product quality.
Requirements:
* Qualification: A third-level qualification in a relevant field.
* Experience: 3-5 years' experience in a Food Safety or Quality Assurance role, ideally within a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
* Auditing Experience: Strong auditing experience (internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits).
* Leadership: Proven experience in managing people and leading teams.
* Problem-Solving: Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Computer Skills: Proficient in using computer systems and software.
