Permanent Contract, based in Cork, Ireland.Position Summary:This role plays a key part in shaping a consistent and engaging employee experience by supporting transparent and aligned communications for the Global Innovation Center (GIC), inclusive of Stryker's Global Technology Center (SGTC). The Senior Manager is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to develop and implement an integrated employee communications strategy that reflects Stryker's culture, priorities of the GIC, and employee needs. This role includes owning and optimizing core employee communication channels — such as email, intranet, and leadership messaging platforms (i.e. town halls, awardsprograms, etc.) — in alignment with the Ortho Tech communications platforms and strategies. This role is based in Ireland and reports to the Vice President, Communications for Stryker's Ortho Tech division.Key Responsibilities:Communication executionManage the development and execution of employee communication plans that align with the priorities of the GIC, support employee engagement and reinforce Stryker's culture.Direct oversight of communication professionals dedicated to SGTCStreamline audience channels and content in alignment with Ortho Tech's communication strategySupport GIC and SGTC leadership communications by drafting and refining messaging, talking points and content for executive communications and employee engagements (newsletters, town halls, award programs, etc.)Manage the planning and performance of key employee communication channels (e.g., intranet, email, messaging platforms), ensuring effective and timely delivery.Work with leadership to align messaging to strategic priorities of the GIC and define communication and change management plans to engage key stakeholdersAlign the communications strategy of the GIC to the Ortho Tech divisional communication strategyWork with key stakeholders in coordinated areas, such as R&D, to ensure consistent and collaborative messagesTailor communications to reach a diverse global workforce, including frontline, office-based, remote and hybrid employees, as necessaryEnsure brand guidelines are applied consistently across all team-generated content.Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness using feedback, analytics and employee input to improve content and delivery approaches.Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support major initiatives and ensure consistent employee messaging.Stay informed on communications trends and tools, bringing new ideas forward to enhance team impact as well as employee and leadership experience.Responsible for translations of communications to meet demographic needsServe as a member of the global Ortho Tech communications teamAudience insights and segmentationMaintain a deep understanding of diverse employee audiences and employee communication channels — including manufacturing/frontline (non-wired), office-based, fully remote, and hybrid and teams — to inform messaging strategy and content delivery.Tailor messaging approaches, formats and tone to align with the needs, preferences and working environments of different employee populations.Conduct regular audience research (e.g., surveys, focus groups, pulse checks, feedback channels) to assess communication effectiveness and inform future content and channel strategies.Partner with HR, People Analytics and leaders aligned to the GIC to gather and apply demographic and behavioral data that supports audience segmentation and targeting.Identify and address communication barriers specific to different employee groups, such as access limitations or content overload.Develop and maintain audience personas to guide campaign planning, message timing and channel selection.Apply audience feedback and performance metrics to continuously test, refine and improve communications.Ensure employee communications reflect inclusive practices that account for cultural, geographic and accessibility differences across global teams.Advocate for the employee perspective in communication planning, with a focus on clarity, relevance and trust.Collaborate with creative and content teams to deliver engaging and effective communications tailored to unique audience needs.Copywriting and editingWrite, edit, and proofread clear, engaging and audience-appropriate employee communications content—including emails, newsletters, intranet articles and leadership messages—that align with Stryker's brand and the GIC strategic priorities.Collaborate with subject matter experts, communications team members and creative resources to develop compelling stories and ensure messaging clarity.Support senior leaders by drafting and refining executive communications such as presentations, talking points and/or announcements.Ensure all written communications adhere to established editorial standards, brand voice and messaging frameworks.Review content for accuracy, consistency and appropriateness across multiple channels and audiences.Manage content calendars and workflows to maintain timely delivery and coordination of communications; ensuring alignment with the Ortho Tech communications strategyCreativityFosters a team culture that encourages innovation, fresh thinking and creative problem-solving in messaging, storytelling and content delivery.Guides communications professionals in developing imaginative and audience-centric campaigns that inform, engage and inspire employees.Partners with creative/design team members or external partners to bring ideas to life visually and experientially, ensuring alignment with brand standards.Identifies trends and best practices in employee communications and content strategy to inspire team creativity and elevate execution.Provides constructive feedback that challenges the team to stretch their creative thinking while staying grounded in business and audience needs.Champions a mindset of learning from experimentation and iterative improvement in campaign and content development.Brand advocacy and communications guidelinesEnsure employee communications are consistently aligned with Stryker's brand voice and organizational values, reinforcing a cohesive and engaging experience.Apply brand guidelines across messaging and campaigns, guiding the team in producing clear, consistent and brand-aligned content.Review and edit content developed by the team to ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all employee communication channels.Promote the use of employee storytelling and employee features to strengthen cultural alignment and reinforce Stryker's mission and values.Engagement measurement and continuous improvementSupport the development and implementation of communication effectiveness metrics and reporting processes.Regularly monitor campaign and channel performance, gathering employee feedback and data to identify opportunities for improvement.Encourage the team to incorporate measurement and feedback into their project workflows to enhance messaging and engagement.Assist in preparing reports and insights to share with senior leaders, helping translate data into actionable recommendations.Collaboration and team leadershipLead a team of communications professionals to deliver high-quality, timely employee communications aligned with strategic priorities in multiple locationsOversee day-to-day management activities including workload delegation, coaching, performance feedback and professional development.Coordinate with external agencies and consultants on specific projects as required, ensuring quality and alignment with messaging goals.Build strong trusting and working relationships leadership and communication partnersOrganizational influence and change leadershipHelp champion communication tools, cultural initiatives and technology adoptions within the team and employee base.Identify opportunities for improved collaboration and information sharing within and across teams.Foster a positive, inclusive team environment that supports continuous learning, adaptability and trust-building.Qualifications & experience:Bachelor's degree requiredMBA preferredMinimum qualifications (required):10+ years of experience in communicationsStrong change management experienceExperience leading a team with direct reportsAbility to build strong relationships with senior leaders and influence communication outcomesExperience leading team members or project teams in the development and execution of communication strategiesStrong business acumen; can translate organizational priorities into messaging and engagement plansProven ability to develop and manage internal campaigns that support business transformation and changeStrong quantitative and analytical skills;
