Power Systems Engineer (Semi State Body)
We are recruiting a Power Systems Engineer on behalf of a semi-state-owned company in Ireland. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing a clean electric future by planning and developing the distribution network to meet the evolving needs of our client's customers.
The Power Systems Engineer will be responsible for performing comprehensive assessments of the electrical distribution network to ensure it operates efficiently and reliably. This will involve using industry-standard power flow analysis tools to evaluate the effects of renewable integration, flexible loads, customer demand connections, and reinforcement strategies on network performance.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 2 to 5 years' work experience in engineering. Strong technical capability, excellent communication and report writing skills, and strong analytical decision-making skills are essential.

* Perform comprehensive assessments of the electrical distribution network to ensure it operates efficiently and reliably.
* Manage the end-to-end processing of grid connection requests in accordance with CRU guidelines and internal procedures.
* Take the lead on innovative planning and infrastructure development projects.
* Develop key documentation to support capital investment proposals.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
The requirements for this role include:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 to 5 years' work experience in engineering.
* Strong technical capability with proven track record of delivery to a high standard.
* Excellent communication and report writing skills.
* Full clean driving license.
* Proficiency in using power system analysis software is desirable.
