Main Purpose of the Role:Oversee and manage the central bakery's confectionery production operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and excellence in product quality. The role will focus on leading production teams, maintaining high food standards, and ensuring that all confectionery products meet company specifications, timelines, and profitability targets.The Ideal Candidate Will Have / Be:Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a food production or bakery environment.Proven experience in confectionery, patisserie, or bakery production (central or retail).A qualified baker or pastry chef is a strong advantage.Demonstrated ability to manage production schedules, yields, and margins effectively.Creative and innovative, with a strong understanding of current bakery and confectionery trends.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.Strong attention to detail, highly organised, and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment.Proven ability to work on own initiative while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams (procurement, quality, logistics, etc.).Main Duties & Responsibilities:Lead the daily operations of the central bakery's confectionery production, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to recipes and standards.Plan, schedule, and oversee production to meet demand from multiple retail outlets and customers.Monitor and drive performance through KPIs, yield reports, waste reduction and cost analysis, ensuring production targets and profitability goals are achieved.Ensure that all products are produced, packaged, and labelled in compliance with food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP).Work closely with the product development teams to test and launch new confectionery lines.Train, coach, and develop production staff, ensuring all team members are skilled and competent in their assigned tasks.Manage inventory and stock control, coordinating with procurement and logistics for ingredient ordering and delivery.Participate in and contribute to management and operations meetings, sharing learnings, ideas, and improvements.Promote and live by the company's core values: Quality, Passion for Food, Innovation, Teamwork, and Commitment to Excellence.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionEmployee assistance programStore discountWork Location: In person
