Maintenance Electrician
Our client has been a leader in managing water and wastewater assets, creating sustainable solutions for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, control panels, and related systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Install and maintain industrial communication networks and heavy-duty electrical machinery to support plant operations.
* Conduct regular inspections and perform quality assurance testing to identify areas for improvement.
* Perform wiring, glanding, and termination tasks for pumps, motors, VSDs, circuit boards, and panels; install conduits, cable trays, and ladders as required.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
* Support plant operations outside regular hours during start-up, normal operations, and shutdown procedures.
* Participate in on-call rotation schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage.
* Adhere to strict health and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Engineer to meet business needs.
* Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
* Operate effectively in physically demanding environments, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and operating in confined spaces.
Requirements:
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
