Overall Responsibilities
Ensure good Infection Prevention and Control practices are maintained by following Beechtree's Infection Prevention and Control programme including knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control policies, undertaking all Infection Prevention and Control training and implementing in day to day work. Infection prevention control is the responsibility of all Beechtree employees
Ensure that all floor surfaces are washed and buffed when residents are away from the area.
All carpets are hovered as required to maintain cleanliness
Ensure that all bedrooms are cleaned and all waste bins emptied as required including sangenic bins and clinical waste bins.
Toilets and wash hand basins to be cleaned on a daily basis.
Ensure that toilet paper, hand towel and soap dispensers are refilled as required.
Ensure work surfaces throughout the Nursing Home are polished as required.
Maintain a clean, safe environment
Clean up spills as required
Use safety signage to indicate wet floors
Document evidence of cleaning performed
Report to Nurse any concerns regarding the Residents
Maintain confidentiality of information
Participate in in-service training & education
Consults with
Director of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Manager, Nursing Staff, Care Assistants, Catering, Ancillary & Maintenance Staff
List of General Duties
To ensure a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene is maintained throughout the Nursing Home. This should be carried out in adherence with Beechtree's Health & Safety policy and Infection control policy.
Skills & Qualifications Required
Some experience working in Care of the Elderly facility
Experience in housekeeping
Kind & caring nature
Good communication skills

Pay: €13.50-€15.00 per hour
