About the Role
Celignis is seeking an
Electrics and Equipment Maintenance Engineer
to design, maintain, and continuously improve the electrical and equipment infrastructure across our laboratories and facilities. You'll play a key role in keeping our analytical and bioprocessing equipment powered, safe, and performing reliably, while supporting future growth in our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Infrastructure Design & Installation
* Specify, design, and install electrical infrastructure across Celignis premises, including power cabling, generators, distribution boards, and power outlets for a wide range of devices and instruments.
* Ensure installations are robust, scalable, and aligned with current and anticipated future power demands.
Equipment Operation & Reliability
* Work with other Celignis personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting the operation and performance of laboratory and bioprocessing equipment.
* Support the commissioning, setup, and safe operation of new equipment, ensuring appropriate power supply and configurations are in place.
Planned Work & Deliverables
* Execute defined tasks and projects with clear timelines and deliverables related to power provision and successful equipment operation.
* Communicate progress and constraints proactively to relevant stakeholders.
Sourcing Parts & Components
* Identify, source, and secure electrical and mechanical parts needed for installations, repairs, and upgrades within efficient timeframes.
* Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure availability and quality of components.
Safety & Compliance
* Carry out all work in a safe, responsible manner in line with relevant safety standards and internal procedures.
* Clearly communicate any changes to electrical infrastructure or equipment that may impact how colleagues or visitors interact with the facilities.
Collaboration & Mentoring
* Work constructively with other Celignis employees across different teams (e.g., lab analysts, process engineers, operations).
* Support the onboarding, supervision, and administrative aspects of new entrants, particularly those working in electrical, mechanical, or equipment-related domains.
Candidate Profile
* Background in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field.
* Hands-on experience with electrical installations, diagnostics, and maintenance in an industrial, lab, or manufacturing environment.
* Comfortable working around complex equipment and learning the specific requirements of analytical and bioprocessing systems.
* Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to work independently on defined tasks and projects.
* Clear communicator with a strong commitment to safety and documentation.
