Maintenance Manager
St James's Gate Brewery, Dublin
2 years contract
About The Role
Brewery Maintenance Manager will act as the primary contact for engineering support across all areas, providing maintenance expertise and continuous improvement skills to help operations deliver and enhance site KPIs.
The role requires ensuring adherence to safe systems of work, supporting the delivery of maintenance tasks, managing overhaul schedules, and monitoring the engineering budget.
In this role, you will also support the management of on-site contractors and ensure full compliance with all relevant standards, including Management of Change (MOC) processes, legal compliance requirements, and the Diageo Way of Brewing.
Responsibilities
Adhere to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, and applicable legislative procedures.
Maintain a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to the Safety and 5S MMS practices.
Support Eng.
Scheduler and CI team to deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
Coach team members to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimisation and support growth in equipment capability as required.
Support Capex works including installation, commissioning and testing within area as required.
Responsible for feeding into Early Equipment Management in areas.
Participate in improvement projects, as skills & experience allow.
Engage in start of shift meetings- Tier 1-2 level and performance-based team meetings to raise and address persistent performance issues.
Qualifications
Degree level education or equivalent desirable, ideally in science or engineering or equivalent within an FMCG industry.
Understanding of Asset Performance and maintenance philosophy with excellent Process Improvement and root cause problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a team and be an effective team member, good communication skills.
Be an ambassador for Manufacturing Excellence and continuous improvement.
