Kitchen Porter – Dublin 24
We are seeking a Kitchen Porter in Dublin 24 to join a busy, high-volume healthcare kitchen. This essential role is hands-on and key to keeping the kitchen running smoothly, supporting hygiene, food prep, and organisation. Ideal for candidates with Kitchen Porter experience in healthcare or high-volume kitchens who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, including counters, storage rooms, and workstations.
* Washing dishes, cookware, trays, and kitchen equipment to support continuous meal service.
* Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients as directed by chefs.
* Stocking ward pantries and beverage stations to ensure patients, staff, and visitors always have access to essential items.
* Recording fridge, freezer, and hot-hold temperatures to support HACCP compliance and food safety standards.
* Working in a hands-on, heavy-duty kitchen environment where speed, attention to detail, and teamwork are critical.
* Assisting with deliveries, including unloading vans, checking goods against delivery notes, and safely storing stock and supplies.
* Supporting the catering team during peak meal times by restocking service areas quickly and efficiently.
* Disposing of waste correctly and operating cleaning machinery (such as dishwashers and floor scrubbers) to maintain hygiene standards.
* Ensuring compliance with infection control, food hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
* Collaborating with chefs and catering staff to provide consistent, efficient service to patients and staff.
Salary & Benefits
* €17.35/hour, with Double Pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays.
* Daytime hours only, typically from 7:00 am – 6:30 pm.

Requirements
* 6–12 months’ experience in a kitchen, ideally in healthcare or high-volume catering.
* Basic knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
* Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
* Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
* Flexibility to work varied hours Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays.
