We are looking for an accomplished Contracts Surveyor (Senior) to join our team in Cork.
Responsibilities
Cost & Financial Control: Manage budgets, monitor expenditure, and prepare accurate forecasts to maintain profitability.
Subcontractor Procurement & Management: Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiate contracts, assess valuations, and administer timely payments.
Commercial Reporting: Provide clear and comprehensive financial reports to support decision-making at senior management level.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate commercial risks to protect margins and ensure project viability.
Contract Administration: Handle contract variations, claims, and final accounts in line with agreed terms.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to align financial and commercial objectives with project delivery.
Compliance: Ensure all commercial activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
Estimating: Experience with Candy or similar estimating software would be advantageous but is not essential.
Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent; professional membership/Chartership (SCSI/RICS) desirable.
Experience: 6–10 years' post-graduate experience in civil engineering or commercial construction, preferably on large-scale design & build projects.
Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of financial management tools and contract conditions.
Commercial Acumen: Proven track record in cost planning, contract negotiation, and value engineering.
Analytical Ability: Strong numeracy and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
