We are currently recruiting for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to join our pharmaceutical client's team in Sligo on a permanent contract.ResponsibilitiesDrive and maintain high standards of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) performance across the sitePromote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset throughout the organisationEnsure full compliance with all applicable EHS legislation, regulations, and internal standardsDevelop, implement, and maintain robust EHS systems, policies, and proceduresOversee contractor safety management processes and track associated KPIsSupport site compliance with global EHS standards, ISO frameworks, and regulatory requirementsMaintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to enhance EHS performanceDeliver and monitor EHS training programmes to ensure employee competencyConduct risk assessments and support ongoing hazard identification and mitigation activitiesRequirementsBachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline3–5 years’ experience in an EHS role within a regulated manufacturing or pharmaceutical environmentStrong knowledge of EHS legislation, compliance frameworks, and management systemsFamiliarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is advantageousExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skillsProven ability to manage projects and influence cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work under pressure
